Nothing is expected to happen soon but the 'dismantle and reassemble' (not knock down and rebuild) project has been broken down into various proposals for the parties to agree their part so the work can then go ahead. It is hoped that they will agree to these various individual proposals but of course nothing is certain and the agreements have not yet been signed.
As they want any work to commence in January (to minimise the disruption as the site will remain open whilst the work is undertaken, with parts being closed in phases) and as it is expected that planning permission will take about 6/9 months then agreement needs to be reached in the next few months if work is to commence next year. Mr Matthews however expects that it is more likely to be January 2015 but he will keep Forum advised on any new developments.
