Investing in Green Places
The councils in South East Dorset (Bournemouth BC, Christchurch BC, Dorset CC, East Dorset DC, Borough of Poole and Purbeck DC) are working with Natural England, the Environment Agency and the Forestry Commission to prepare Investing in Green Places. This is a green infrastructure strategy for the area. The strategy creates a bold vision for South East Dorset. It sets a framework to co-ordinate green infrastructure planning to improve and use the existing assets in a cost effective way.
Residents, businesses and interested organisations are invited to have a say about the future of parks, trees, woodlands, allotments, cycle routes and other green spaces in South East Dorset. The draft strategy is now available to view and to make comments on.
